Travellers

Description

Advent 1

In the beginning and all that lives,

was and is, God. In the baby Jesus,

God was born among us in a new way,

is born among us again

each time we tell the story.

We yearn for this story like travellers

thirst for water.

 

It is a story of hope,

told in Mary’s song –

hope for a new way, hope

for a new day,

hope for the helpless,

the lowly, the unseen,

the outsider – for all,

not only for a few.

 

We hear the story of hope (pour water in glass)

and thirst for hope in our world,

in our lives,

as we journey towards (put candle in glass and light)

the light of Christ.
